You will need Adobe Reader to open the pdf files, if you do not have it on your computer you can download a free copy by clicking here If you do any of the walks while on holiday at Glenancross, please tell us your experiences and send us your photographs and we will add them to the website, email us at x Ardmore Bay Walk Start point a mile west of Tobermory Click here to access the Ardmore bay walk x Ardnish Penninsula Walk Start point Lochailort by the white church on the hillside This 6.8 mile walk crosses the ardnish penninsula and by a freshwater Lock, perfect for swimming. There is a well maintained bothy and the beach can have spectacular sunsets. This is a great walk with kids. Click here to access the Ardnish Penninsula walk x Arieniskill to Prince Charlies Cave Start point is the Craiglea Guest House near Glenfinnan This 3.7 mile walk follows the old post track to Meoble. It passes burns with pools and waterfalls to a more open aspect. The path to Meoble is very steep and ends at the coast. On this path is a cave that is attributed as a resting place for Bonnie Prince Charlie before he took the boat to Skye. Click here to access the Arieniskill walk x Arisaig to Skamadale Start point is the Kilmarten Guest House near Kinloid off the A830 Arisaig to Mallaig This 7.45 mile walk skirts round the edge of the mountians around Arisaig and Loch Morar. There is a gentle climb with views to lock Morar and the middle section is through a woodland path. Click here to access the Arisaig to Skamadale walk x Dornie to Carr Brae Start point is Dornie just off the A87, 9 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh This is a challenging 12 mile walk of stunning views of glens and lochs Click here to access the Dornie to Carr Brae walk x Druimindarroch to Fort Start point is Druimindarroch just off the A830 to Malliag just after Arisaig This is a fun 1.2 mile walk which is great for kids. Wear your wellies as you cross a river (there is a bridge further up the river) and you can find the remains of an old fort. Click here to access the Druimindarroch to Fort walk x Morvich to Falls of Glomach Start point is the National Trust countryside at Morvich on the A87 to Skye This 9.3 mile walk takes you to the top of the falls of Glomach, the highest free falling waterfall in the UK and then on into the wilds of the West highland countryside. Click here to access the Morvich to Falls of Glomack walk x Glasnacardoch to Loch Eireagoraidh Start point is just before Mallaig at the signpost to the B8008 Glasnacardoch. This 6.2 mile circular route has the most spectaucular views and gentle climbs. It is not suitable for young children but stopping at Loch Nostarie with a picnic and heading back from there is perfect. Click here to access the Glasnacardoch to Loch Eireagoraidh walk x Glen Beadale Start point on the A830 to Mallaig before Beasdale Station This 3.7 mile walk follows a valley path. It is great for kids and adults and if you like getting wet you can so some of the short narrow gorges, otherwise just enjoy this lovely walk Click here to access the Glen Beasdale walk x Glenfinnan Viaduct Start point the Glenfinnan Visitor Center This 5.6 mile takes you up the Glenfinnan valley and under the viaduct. Great walk for kids and is wheelchair accessible Click here to access the Glenfinnan Viaduct walk x Glen Mama to Loch Mama Start point is a layby on the A830 to Mallaig just by Glen Mama Farm. This 6.2 mile walk climbs through ancient oak woodland to the lovely Loch Mama. It can be boggy and the first section is great fun for kids as it has many opportunities for river crossing by bridge, trees, fords and stones. There is a steep section with rapids and pools before the route crosses the burn by stepping stones onto Loch mama. Click here to access the Glen mama to Loch Mama walk x Morar to Bracorina Start point is on the A830 to Mallaig after Arisaig there is a signpost to Bracora One of the great walks of the area with spectacular views along the whole walk. Well worth the effort. (There may be a mistake on the walk pdf as there is a reference to a view of Loch Nevis, which should be Loch Morar!)
